Avoid overheating
- temperatures predicted to not exceed 25 °C for more than 5% of the year and/or exceed 28 °C for more than 1% of the year (2 - section 03/01/02)
- Schools: Design systems to ensure that that temperatures do not exceed 28 °C for more than 80 occupied hours in a year (Building Bulletin BB87) (2 - section 03/01/03)
- systems to maintain temperatures lower than 25 °C to 28 °C in general rooms, but between 21 °C to 25 °C in bedrooms (2 - section 03/01/04)
- shading devices on windows to reduce excessive solar gains ()
